D.I.D....

Re: New Post: Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

@Smc

Hoping today has been a better day and you can get through tonight with out any drama and you can get some rest...  thinking of you and family. Especially younger daughter. From things you have mentioned I can see parallels with our middle son so my heart goes out to her also.

Re: New Post: Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

@Determined, it sounds like the Mental Health Unit are going to do a proper re-assesment. Hoping and praying that her file will, in the near future, be updated to something that's actually helpful.

Both self and Hubby are totally exhausted. Easy oven heat up dinner from the supermarket nearly ready- and I was even "good" and made sure that it contained a decent amount of veggies, not just your usual protein+fat+carbs...

Re: New Post: Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

Trust all family members get much needed sleep tonight @Smc .

Re: New Post: Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

About to attempt it... very much hope so.

Us forumites all seem to be a bit sleep deprived at the moment. Goodnight sleep tight all.

Ta @Former-Member.

Very pretty ranunculus. I'm waiting for mine to come up.

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

Have you caught up on any rest @Smc? Does your daughter have a date for reassessment?

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

No date yet @Former-Member, or not that I know of.
Have been sleeping a bit better, but self, Hubby and Younger Daughter are still feeling really tense, so we're trying to go easy on ourselves and each other.

Am finding myself baulking over the few remaining over-the-phone or personally dropped off invites still left to do, and the party's only a week off now. Glad I'm not responsible for the rest- except that I'm currently baking an allergy friendly fruit cake.

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

Quick check in @Smc

Re: Dissociative Identity Disorder Carers?

Thanks @Former-Member. Hubby's currently doing a hospital pick up, but at least this timeit's not SH. She was having trouble breathing last night, possibly asthma. May get more details when Hubby's home.

Still a bit mentally exhausted for focusing on party stuff, but it seems to be coming together. Haven't decorated the cake yet, but I have a batch of nut free "marzipan" sitting in the fridge ready to roll out.

A lot of the organising is falling on our Younger Son (20 y.o.) for assorted reasons. I think it's coming together, but I've offered to take on a couple of other small-ish tasks. Think I can fit them in... hope so.

Bit bleaugh about our messy house at the moment, because it would be nice to bring a few people back here after the party, and it's not in a fit state. Really not. Dunno if I've got the energy to tackle that too. There are some nice restaurants down the street, maybe we can "afterparty" over some dinner. Will see how it pans out.

Internet's being glitchy here. I may be occasional with replies and posts until it pulls itself together.
