Swinging past to say hi to everyone here .....

Some of you already know that I have started with a new counsellor, cos carer’s burnout had started to affect me again.  She is lovely.  I haven’t had the wherewithal to start telling our story all over again up until now, but it’s sorta like pulling a tooth I guess.  It’s a necessary part of finding support, and that is with good reason.

Re: Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

yes I think I need someone : @Faith-and-Hope , seeing the gp next week about my burnout xx

Re: Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

It seems a lot of people are having a particularly hard time at the moment 😞  thinking of you all...

I was supposed to talk about that at GP appointment today as I am struggling at the moment but instead talked about how I can better support darling, her dad and the boys at the moment.  I did however get a good lead on a potential DBT support group for darling in all of that so hopeful that it works out to be suitable 🙂

I will try again for me at my next appointment in 4 weeks time.

At the moment I am relying on motorcycle therapy for me  Smiley Very Happy

Nice that you were able to have that time with your uncle @Shaz51  and good news that something positive is starting to happen re supports for your mum.

Re: Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

Feeling sooo over it... I know what you mean @Shaz51

Really hope that you can get some effective support for you in all of this... You do so much for everyone else while balancing your own health you need a break and some support of your own...

Re: Partners who chose to stay for the long haul

As with most carers it is a balancing act... we need to look after ourselves in order to look ofter others... but finding that balance is so hard. It is a case of take a break... yeah right and who is going to look after this zoo wile I am away. (and no disrespect meant to my family in that but it is how it feels sometimes).
