Expecting showers over the week but nothing too heavy @Bunniekins We have had a bit of rain this year so the dams and farms have had a good year. It is funny though as Hobart has the second lowest average rainfall of any capital city ...behind Adelaide. I do laugh at jokes that it is always raining in Tassie because it could not be further from the truth.

@Zoe7 Really I always thought it would rain alot in Tassie as a whole. That is interesting. Where I live it rains heaps . Drives me a bit crazy too as it is humid. Do you get snow where you are?

We get snow on the mountain but very rarely in the city @Bunniekins Hail sometimes and plenty of frosts in winter - and it gets cold which I really do not like
I watched some of the video but could not watch them eating. The host made me laugh calling then Tassie's - we would never call them that here - they are devils.

@Zoe7 They really are too cute. I am happy that there has been alot of education re the devils (I will call them that from now on :)) and that they are working on breeding program for them. Such funny creatures. Do you think that the Tasmanian Tiger might still exist somewhere in the bushland?

It really would not surprise me @Bunniekins There is such vast, untouched bushland around Tassie that no-one can get into so there could very well be some hiding there. I like to think there is and that they will never be found - left to live their lives without humans affecting them.
The program for breeding devils on the mainland is doing a wonderful job. They are tumour free and some have been brought back here already. Those in captivity are also tumour free. Such a horrible thing for the population but a lot of research is going into it.

7 degrees and clear here at present @Bunniekins Think it is only supposed to be 14 today so will be an inside day for me again - which is okay because I have plenty of work to do.
On that note Hon - I better take off. Going to watch a little of Midsomer Murders before I head to bed.
Goodnight sweet pea. I hope you get some sleep soon too
@Former-Member I vote this the best new thread of the month - thank you for starting and I hope you are safe and the rain has eased for you

@Zoe7 I grew up in tassie, now in Sydney. Weather is certainly different down there, but nope, does rain allll the time, but it’s heaps cooler. I’d do anything to be able to move back for the cooler weather. Hate summer up here.... currently loving this cooler change we are getting in Sydney.
