@Adge I didn't climb into the roof, I lifted the man hole and tossed some throw packs and wax baits in various directions. Am pleased to report that after two nights of scratching, last night all was quiet 😀.
@Smc welcome back. Yes there is the "organic" option but I don't know of anyone who owns a pet python locally and I have not been tempted to seek native assistance given my snake identification book describes the locals as "Venomous and dangerous. Capable of inflicting a potentially fatal bite."

Ive heard rodents in my ceiling again lately too. I guess the cooler weather is bringing them indoors. I use the throw packs. Much easier than other alternatives. I just clamber up to the manhole (am I allowed to say that) move the lid aside and throw in a couple of packs and then close over the lid to the manhole again. The rodents eat through the packaging.
How is everyone today? Lovely cool overcast day here. @Adge @Former-Member @Determined @Faith-and-Hope @Smc and anyone else around.
Sherry 😀

Good morning @Former-Member "snap" posted at the same time. Stopping by for a quick coffee as we are heading to town shortly.

Yes indeed @Former-Member ... snap! Just like a mouse trap. 😊
Enjoy your town trip.
I'm having my second cup of tea for the morning and the teapot is unfortunately now empty. Will make a fresh pot in an hour or so when I wake up hubby.
Glad the little rodents in your roof have quietened down. 🐀🐭

You could call it a "people hole", or a "person hole" @Former-Member If that's better.
It's cooler here today, I think.
Although it can heat up, & catch me out (later).
Less scratching noises sounds good @Former-Member

@Former-Member, @Former-Member , Hubby likes the idea of a pet ferret for rodent control. I'm not so keen. 😄 A cat would be nice, but with the wildlife we get here it would need to be an indoors+caged cat run cat, and I'm not happy with that unless we're well set up for it. Cats need playspace and fresh air, just like peoples do. The chooks occasionally catch a mouse, but I'm not putting them in the roofspace. 😛
Nice day here too, sunny but mild. Gotta talk my achy muscles into unloading the trailer with Hubby so that we can use it to pick up the bunnies and guinea pigs plus their cages from the friends who've been minding them.

Yes ... good morning everyone - @Determined @Smc @Adge @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @Former-Member
Definitely time for a nice relaxing cuppa! Not coffee for me though, I've never been a coffee person. Tea or hot choc instead.
But REAL tea ... black leaves in a pot. Then I need to hit the phones (and no doubt be kept on hold for who knows how long) and try to get some appointments happening for hubby.
Its a beautiful warm calm day here today, so I am going to take my pot of tea and a couple of anzac biccies out on the back deck and enjoy a few quiet moments in the warm sun. My garden fish pond is looking particularly good right now, since I cleaned it out a month or so ago. And my comet goldfish are growing rapidly, in fact the two new small ones I bought are already about half the size of the original large one. They were only about a quarter the size when I bought them. They are really pretty too. I will take a pic one day soon and show you. Our deck on that side overlooks the fishpond, so I can turn the little fountain on and sit, watch and listen to the water. Its become my 'time out'.
