Gracious God and loving heavenly father,  thank you that you are with us in our struggles.

Lord, today I pray for strength for today,  strength to keep going even if we are paralysed by hurt, fears or shame;  strength to say no when tempted to surrender to harmful things; strength not to place ourselves in situations where temptation unavoidable; strength to shake of selfishness that clings  and won't let go. 

Lord, thank you that we can look to you for this strength, that your word is a light to our feet and a lamp to our path.

Being a carer I don't venture across on this side in too many threads (mainly ones I have been tagged in) but very much enjoy reading what you have written. To use your words "life from your perspective"  has helped me listen more and become a better support person and advocate for Mr Darcy.
